Nature-Based Infrastructure demands an iterative design process because living systems don’t behave like static structures. Physical and digital models simulate infrastructural performance under different conditions, including storm surge, sea-level rise, or sediment movement.
To design within changing systems, LVF Lab develops analysis methods that enable fluid design development. We collaborate with experts in hydraulics and hydrology to explore how plants, water, and sediment adapt to wet conditions.
By iterating, testing, and adjusting, we keep NBI systems healthy, resilient, and functional. Thoughtful design becomes living infrastructure that grows stronger with every season.
